We moved into our new house in April 2005.   We love our home in many ways.   However, we think that our back patio is too small to be useful for entertaining.   We propose to add a covered back deck to enlarge our patio.   To the right is a picture of the back of our house. To the far right is a closer view of the porch.
We prefer to have the current patio covered in the same material as the deck to provide a consistent appearence. To the right is a side view of the patio. Click on the pictures for a larger image.

Update 07-26-2010 Revised concept plans for the new deck. This revised deck plan removes much of the bench and railing from across the back and replaces that with a pair of steps and smaller bench area.   This opens the deck up to the backyard.   The addition is covered with a rought cut cedar arbor (stained to match the deck color) which will be covered with Polygal plastic sheeting.
